What is Commercial insurance?

What is Commercial Insurance, and when do I need it?

Commercial insurance refers to a policy that is meant to protect a business from future risks. Coverage may include business property damage, loss of income due to a business interruption, legal issues, theft, and employees’ grievances.

Considerations in choosing a commercial or business insurance policy will always revolve around the possibility of business interruption that will either cause loss of income or even the termination of the business. So, it is cautionary to foresee future risks usually associated with a business endeavor and choose a policy that covers these risks. Someone who owns an apartment building who leases it out to paying tenants, for instance, can protect himself by buying a property and liability insurance in case of fire that will damage his property and physically harm his tenants.
